Despite impunity, Christians must maintain their resolve.

Prophet James Omitade, the General Overseer of Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church, has urged Christians to live honorably, to love one another, and to resist being influenced by the nation’s contradictory constitution and lax law enforcement, which have contributed to impunity.

In an interview with Tribune Church News, Prophet Onitade stated that Christians are suffering as a result of the weak laws, weak and narrowly focused enforcement of existing laws, and the constitution.

“Laws are disobeyed because they are made powerful and are not enforced,” Omitade lamented. “Evil people find a refuge in our weak constitution to perpetrate their sinful acts because they would find escape routers.”

“Christians must be truthful,” he commanded, “and they must embrace love. Christ commands us to treat our neighbors as we would like to be treated. You won’t break the law and you won’t engage in sin if you do this.

Church leaders, according to the cleric, “worship the worshippers because they have means and wealth. Some Church leaders would rather attribute a fornicator’s problems to his adversaries than admit that he has sinned because of the money he donates to the church.

“God’s word should be preached to condemn anyone who has sinned; preaching should humble us, not exalt us as believers. The Bible should not be used to exalt believers or as comic relief or a comedy show. Because God’s word is truth, we must always be honest with ourselves.

If nurses or doctors view the patient as a member of the human family rather than a specimen, that is perfectly acceptable. Patients should not be viewed as despicable beings by hospital staff but rather as individuals. Prison staff members shouldn’t steal or sell drugs or other supplies given to them by charitable organizations. That is wicked. Both ourselves and our Christian faith must be upheld.

He exhorted Christians to align their lives with the Bible’s teachings and follow the Almighty God’s rules. “Laws need to be improved and made to accomplish their goals. We will benefit when our laws are upheld and when we live moral lives as Christians.
