Subdue Poverty: Key to Prosperity in Christ
In 3 John 1:2, John is writing an appeal whereby he says, “that we may be prospering and be in health, even as our soul prospereth.” God’s purpose for His kids is prosperity. He wants you to live a rich life, not a poor one. To eradicate poverty, we must familiarize ourselves with the blessing and agency in giving it form.
What is poverty?
Poverty is a state of lack. It’s when you are unable to fulfill certain requirements in life, physical, psychological, or depending on your beliefs and faith. Poverty destroys and brings shame (Proverbs 10:15). It opposes your opportunity and happiness. But God’s plan is for you to subdue it.
Subduing Poverty: The Blessing
The first victory to be won over poverty is the blessing. Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich.” This means that the blessing of God does not come from labor. It is a holy anointing that produces opportunities, efficiency, and blessings.
How to Activate the Blessing
1. Hear the Word—The word is heard to receive the blessing. It’s a grace given by God. In this way, for example, Abraham received not the piece of gold, but the divine blessing, which multiplied his labor.
2. Commit to Kingdom Work—Psalm 133:3 instructs there is a blessing where God’s house has agreement and dedication. They both discuss the fact that when we seek the Lord’s kingdom, everything we need will be added to us.
3. Pronouncements of Blessing – Words of blessing from anointed leaders have the ability to release the blessing in your life. It will shock and humble you to remember the words you have been called, as they are consistent with the Lord’s word.
God’s Will for Prosperity
God wants you to prosper so that you can become a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2). Which means prosperity is not for selfish purposes; it is not for the benefit of the people in this world but for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.
Conclusion
For conquering poverty, for receiving the blessing, for remaining faithful to the work of the Lord, and for proclaiming His Word over your life. These are His gifts; let Him lavish them upon you and watch as the improvement is witnessed not only in you but also in the lives of others as you all glorify God. let Him lavish them upon you and watch as the improvement is witnessed not only in you but also in the lives of others as you all glorify God.
