Find out why you were put on earth.

God gave every one of us a special reason to be alive. The Word of God has enjoined people to live in glory. You are not here by accident. You are made for the purpose of performing good deeds. Such works are not just professions related to your everyday job and occupation. They are about the completion of God’s will on earth.

A few rose to prominence and became great. They become celebrities, optimized and affluent. But inside, they feel empty. Indeed, they have not identified their calling. They have name and fame, but still they don’t get satisfaction.

Each one of us is at his place where he is placed by God. Regardless of profession, if you’re a doctor, a lawyer, or a teacher, your work is certainly God’s plan. But it’s not only that you believe that your job is important. God has a specific plan for us in our position; how are you applying that in your life?

Just like that boy with five loaves of bread and two fishes. He had a few loaves of bread, and when given to Jesus, enough was created to feed everybody that was there. That was not a gift the boy intended to keep for himself only. It was supposed to bring the blessings of the people. Similarly, your talents and gifts are for your home or for yourself alone. They are for nations.

Finally, he noted that man is at rest when he is achieving the objective that has been assigned to him. God is pleased with us when we are in His ways. It is more than what you do, so let your work mean more than just your title. It’s about doing something positive for humanity, nourishing others with what they have received as blessings from God.

Pray today for clarity. Tell God that you would like Him to reveal to you why you were created. Your purpose is waiting. Don’t let it go unfulfilled. Let your conduct be according to His will.
