Bearing spiritual fruit in tough times: to the best of my knowledge, there is nothing that i have entitled: a guide to staying rooted in god’s word.

Bearing Fruit During Hard Times-FULL SERMON | Joyce Meyer

Life can be tough. But as believers, there is potential for fruitful even in the midst of a barren season that can come our way. In John 16:33 And again in verse 34, Jesus states indeed we will be troubled, But Be of Good Cheer I have Overcome The World. Thus, the question is: how does one stay strong during the moments that feel as though they are magnifying the difficulty of life?

# 1. Stay Rooted in God’s Word

* Jeremiah 17:7-8 says “You who trust in Jehovah are blessed…He will be afraid when heat comes”.

* It’s possible to achieve the same message as a tree; the stronger the roots in the Word, the stronger the person during the storms.

Spend quality *time** reading and thinking about the promises of God. Do not merely consume God’s Word, but let it change you.

# 2. Dont Let Circumstances Rule Your Life

Sadly, it is easy to remain at peace when everything in your life is going well. But what do you do when everything cracks?

Joyce Meyer shares a vital truth: we need to stop waiting for change to happen. Ask God to change us instead.

* Galatians 5:22 informs us that regardless of these things, then the fruit of the Spirit which includes love, joy, and peace, should be seen to be apparent, in that case, patience.

# 3. Trust God, Not the World

* Jeremiah 17:5 teaches us not to put our hope in people or things other than God. They will disappoint.

* Rather, believe in the strength of God. He says will feed and defend us. As the tree by water, we have to bear fruit in season:).

* Your faith will remain intact regardless of what circumstances the world puts you in.

# 4. Make Purposeful Relationships

* Psalm 1:1-3 emphasizes on company or companionship with righteous individuals.

People who surround you have behaviors that you emulate as you address challenges in life.

* The kind of friends you make should be those who strengthen your faith in God and encourage you.

# 5. Prune and Grow

God may cut us sometimes but all for the purpose of helping us bear good fruit. Sometimes this might be an uncomfortable process, but if you want personal development, then it must be undergone.

* Believe that God is preparing you to be a vessel who will be useful in the eternal Kingdom of God.

Conclusion

No matter what happens to you, I pray that you will hold on to the truth that when you are in the Word, you can still produce fruit. Trust Him and remain calm so that your character changes by the things He wants. Your spiritual food shall nourish you, and the hope you have in Christ shall compel others to seek spiritual food. Keep growing!
