Sermon on integrity: learning to live, to be excellent, and to be honest

Integrity as a concept is a rare thing in today’s society. However, being Christians, we are encouraged to live honestly and to do things as excellently as we possibly can.

Ethics is the ability of right that is implemented without friction from any other person. It is required one way or the other in all aspects of life, in our careers, with people around us, and in our spiritual lives.

1. Integrity is acting responsibly.

Specifically, integrity does not equal perfection. It is about telling the truth, not going back on your word, and giving your all in whatever you’re doing. There are far too many individuals who simply accept average. The Bible warns against it. Average people do not change the world. We should be focused on quality in our work.

2. Time Waster robs us of our chances

Delivering people’s promises for tomorrow kills opportunities. Procrastination is a thief. The right time to act is now. He says if we continue to procrastinate, then that’s the end of it, and nothing would have gotten done. Succeed in doing what is required today, not the following day. Be proactive, not reactive. Be active and create the events.

3. Set the standard

The world systems have turned slothful and careless, and the end is not yet, but this sinful world will be judged by God—we are to be holy. We must exhibit excellence in our work, in our home, and even in our worship. Actions must be louder than words.

4. Be prepared at all times.

This one of the parables of the kingdom of heaven as found in Matthew 25, tells the story of the ten virgins. Five were with added oil and five were without it. The wise virgins also had prepared for maybe being delayed. What happened, the foolish ones thought, was that everything would just be as they wanted it to be. Do not sit there in a fix, waiting to be prepared. Stay prepared physically, as well as in terms of your faith.

Conclusion

Live with integrity. Do not give anything other than your best. Be honest, excellent, and well-prepared. The Lord will reward your labors if only you learn to live with honesty. Let your life be an example of those standards of His, and then leave the rest to Him to sort out.
