In his powerful message,’Lover ‘’Lover early hindrance’’ Pastor Adeboye will show people how to overcome obstacles that want to hinder one’s progress. Christ’s soldier should therefore be spiritually strong enduring and immovable. Here are some key points to remember from the teachings:

### 1. Subdue the Flesh

Paul teaches in **1 Corinthians 9: The same chapter 24-27 states that a Christian soldier must be disciplined. We are not fighting against flesh and blood but spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). To win, we must do it with the body in subjection just as a prize is fought in the body. It also has the famous slogan ‘self-control is victory.’.

### 2. The Battle Within

According to the text, there is an external enemy, which is Satan, but the greatest threat comes from inside us. We are led by our ego and stomach. Esau lost his birthright due to his uncontrolled desire for food (Hebrews 12:15-17). Samson was betrayed by pride, thinking he could do everything in his strength (Judges 16:20).

### 3. Guard Against Pride

Two wrongs don’t make a right; pride is the key rival to achievement. The Bible warns in Proverbs 16:19 that pride comes before destruction. To be humble before God is important. Blessed are those who acknowledge that the victory belongs to God alone; we are directing ourselves towards what He wants.

### 4. Victory is in Christ

Ultimately, it is God’s strength that ensures victory. 1 Samuel 2:9 This means that no matter how efficient and powerful one may be, success is from God. Jesus said, “Without me, you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

As we gather together to celebrate this year’s Holy Ghost Congress, let us make up our minds to be disciplined soldiers for Christ. This means that when we control the flesh, humble ourselves, and trust God, then we shall conquer. In any battle you are in, you can win through the name that is above every other name, and that is the name of Jesus.
