Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, a Nigerian gospel music minstrel and recording artist, has released a new single titled “Tobechukwu,” a joyful and danceable song that expresses gratitude for God’s goodness and kindness.

Mercy Chinwo Blessed, best known for her hit song “Excess Love,” appears on the single. The song’s title, which is in the Igbo language spoken in Nigeria’s Eastern region, translates to “Praise God” in English.

Pastor Nathaniel Bassey quotes Isaiah 44:23 from the New King James Version, which says, “Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it!” You lower parts of the earth, yell; Sing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! Because the Lord has redeemed Jacob and exalted Himself. in the State of Israel.”
